Aeration and Seeding: Rejuvenate Your Lawn
Freshly aerated Fescue lawns provide an ideal environment for growing new seed. Over-seeding your Fescue will help fill in those bare or thin spots, giving you a thicker, healthier lawn that will crowd out weeds and help prevent new weeds from developing.
Cool season turf should be aerated and seeded between September and November for best results. This will allow the new seedlings time to mature before the cold winter months and ensure a thick, healthy lawn the following spring. Spring seeding is not recommended. Seeding a Fescue lawn in the spring can interfere with spring Crabgrass pre-emergent and broadleaf weed control.
Agropro only uses top quality, certified Fescue seed that is suited for our Georgia climate. We spend numerous hours each year studying different Fescue seed blends, reviewing Fescue seed trials and research data.
